Tour of Cheshire - 6 March

This year's ToC was centred around Beeston, coincidentally rather close to the home of the Clerk of the Course! With an impressive and very efficient use of maps 117 and 118, the rally consisted of 7 regularities and 10 tests, all within about a two mile radius. At signing on, instructions for the first two regularities were handed out, with the rest being fed to us through the day, but pleasantly no plot-and-bash. In an interesting twist, navigators needed some knowledge of Welsh to plot regularity B! The tests were great fun and gave plenty of opportunities to get sideways on loose and blat through country estates. The usual wait for the results afterwards was filled by an informal and amusing talk from Barrie "Whizzo" Williams, before the cups and prizes were given out. As always, excellently organised and a great day's rallying.
